Policemen from the Traffic Department of the Voivodeship Police Headquarters in Opole met with students at the Mechanical School in Opole on 19 September. This event, combining educational and preventive activities with workshops, was part of Project EDWARD.
During the workshops, traffic policemen indicated the most common causes of road accidents, mainly those with the most tragic consequences. Using illustrations, they made clear to young or future drivers how dangerous are excessive speed, incorrect overtaking or even using a mobile phone while driving a car
The following part of the meeting gave a practical presentation of how important it is to wear seat belts. Volunteers could get into the vehicle roll-over simulator and feel how dangerous an accident could be.
