The dangers of alcohol in road traffic are often underestimated. People under the influence of alcohol are more willing to take risks and are less aware of the dangers. The risk of an accident increases even under the influence of a small amount of alcohol, and the consequences of accidents are disproportionately serious.
Tackling drink-driving is a key element in reducing the number of road deaths in Germany to zero. We want to discuss new impulses for alcohol prevention and the inclusion of concrete measures in the German government's new road safety programme at our Road Safety Forum.
