Torch-light Commemoration

As the concluding event of the Hungarian EDWARD programme, a torch-light commemoration, taking place at 6 pm, will be organised by the National Accident Prevention Committee, in cooperation with its partner organisations, the Disaster Management General Directorate and the National Ambulance Service.

The venue will be at the Memorial of the Victims of Traffic Accidents, erected and maintained by the National Accident Prevention Committee. The event will be public and the representatives of the media will be invited.

The EDWARD initiative is also supported by the National Federation of Hauliers, whose members - taxi drivers - are going to distribute to their customers, between 19 and 22 September, a total of 50,000 information cards containing the EDWARD Pledge promises as well as 5,000 shopping trolley coins with the logo of key road safety stakeholders.
